Every second Thursday, Why There Are Words, Studio 333, Sausalito. Unless you need a ride, that's all you need to know. If you do need a ride, call me and maybe I can help. Plus there's always the ferry. Why not totally treat yourself? These are two excellent reasons for why you live in the Bay Area; when you use one to get to the other life tends to hit home. Know what I mean? I'm sayin 'cuz I can. I've done it. I'm bragging (but it isn't a secret. It's obvious. If you can, do it.). You could brag too.
The theme for May 10 was Complications and to provide us with those very goods were a quartet of enchanting ladies and the inimitable Daniel Handler.
I missed the last two episodes of Why There Are Words and I lamented it each time. But when I walked back into Studio 333 my smile was so pure and thorough. Enough to say that sentence! More, really. It's just so good … and I don't mean that in terms of the location or quality of readers but the whole thing, you know, like an ambiance of something is happening while drinking a glass of vintage i'm a part of it. If you read this and you've been, testify!
