Your Bay Area TV Sports Weekend featuring alternatives to the Oscars

This Saturday features five of our local men's college hoops squads in action, including St. Mary’s in an ESPN Bracketbuster, and a Pac-12 TV doubleheader with Cal followed by Stanford.

By the way, the Cardinal are at #23 Oregon, who were just upset by Cal. It’s your chance to see the ugliest court on TV. Tune in and tell me it doesn’t look like someone sprayed feces on the hardwood. What were they thinking?

As you try to get that image out of your head, the Sharks finally end their miserable road trip with a face-off at the Stars.

Then on Sunday, all eyes will be on Danica during the Daytona 500.

The Warriors have a Sunday matinee at the T’Wolves.

The nationally-ranked Cal and Stanford women also have a Pac-12 TV doubleheader hosting the Oregon schools.

And finally, in case you’re desperate for something to watch other than the Oscars, it’s worth mentioning that ESPN is counter-programming its own broadcast network with an NBA doubleheader.
