26 In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. 27 No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. (John 16:26-27)
Sometimes people need mediation and intervention by others to resolve conflicts. These conflicts arise from different points of view, and a resolution could not be found between the two parties. A mediator helps the two sides form a workable agreement. The mediator goes between them and the conflict receives a resolution perhaps even reconciliation.
The Holy Bible states that Jesus is the mediator of the New Covenant. He once and for all resolved the sin conflict between God, the Father and all human beings. Believers in Christ Jesus have been reconciled to God and can have prayerful conversations with Him utilizing Jesus name. Jesus tells believers who love Him that God returns this love allowing them the ability to ask.
Challenge: Believer, you are loved by God because of your love for Jesus! You are reconciled and now able to ask the Father with guidance from the Holy Spirit in Jesus name!
