Yippee-Ki-Yay: John McLane lives on in 'A Good Day to Die Hard'

The world is looking forward to Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, due to it being Valentine's Day and bringing so much love out into the open. A lot of others are looking forward to the fact that it is also the same day that Bruce Willis steps back into the role of John McClane in "A Good Day to Die Hard."

The 57-year-old Wills will reprise the role of John McClane for a fifth, and perhaps the last, time, but it promises to be an explosive one. It began 25 years ago with "Die Hard" in 1988, and keeps fans coming back for more, but will it prove to be another success?

Looking back into the past, the four other films have all done very well at the box office, but some bad reviews are already making it appear as if "A Good Day to Die Hard" may not follow suit. Only one film in the franchise so far, has made less than $100 million lifetime gross.

Now, true fans know that the first film in the "Die Hard" franchise is the best one. It doesn't matter that it made the least amount at the box office; especially considering it only had a budget of $28 million.

"A Good Day to Die Hard" will bring in John McClane's son to join him in a shoot-em-up battle in Russia. It appears as if McClane is going over to Russia to help his son, but little does he know that young Jack McClane is actually CIA. Cue the time for the McClane family to join forces and battle the underworld criminals in Russia.

No matter what happens, "A Good Day to Die Hard" is going to be successful simply due to the star power of Willis and the strength of the name of the franchise. The worry here is going to be the longevity of the fifth "Die Hard" film in theaters, and that could be what seals the coffin on the franchise.

Will this be the last time "Yippee-Ki-Yay" is ever exclaimed on the big screen? Willis isn't getting any younger and the movies don't appear to be getting any better...so this could indeed be the last time that John McClane does "Die Hard."
