WWE has a stacked card for tomorrow’s Wrestlemania XXX with over 50 wrestlers performing on ‘the show of shows’ from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, and one of the biggest matches is the 30 Man Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The multi-man match was announced on 'RAW' last month by WM30 host Hulk Hogan and it was dedicated to the larger than life legacy of the first inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame, Andre the Giant.

Critics including some on the Pro Wrestling Examiner Facebook page have called this Battle Royal match is filler, a match that simply crams 30 wrestlers onto the WM30 card. Though there might be some truth to that perspective, it still has a prize for the winner: the gloating fact that you can say you defeated 29 other superstars in one match on the biggest show of the year, Wrestlemania. The winner here also gets a physical symbol of the accomplishment with the Andre the Giant trophy.

Pro Wrestling Examiner flips through the 27 confirmed names for this Battle Royal, and picks out 5 wrestlers with legit chances at walking out of New Orleans with that Andre statue in their hand.

The Miz

This prediction is pretty outlandish considering the current circumstances, so let us turn back the clock to see how history could repeat itself. In late 2010, the Miz cashed in the Money in the Bank to the dismay of his vocal detractors and became the WWE Champion. In his breakout year, he walked into and out of WM27 main event with the WWE title. The Miz’s once burning star has seemingly faded back down the card. Yet despite this decline, Mike Mizanin is apparently going back to what made him a star: being the most easily hateable man in the WWE. From his reality TV background to his egomaniacal obsession with himself, Miz has always had the tools to be a guy who fans want to see get beat up. Before the “I am Awesome!” superstar get back to making arenas boo him out of town, he needs some hardware to get there which may come in the form of the Andre trophy. Just imagine how obnoxious MIz could be with that prize in his possession?

The Big Show

‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair proclaimed in his memorable Hall of Fame induction speech in 2008, that the Big Show was the best ‘big man’ in pro wrestling history and noted he was better than Andre. The endearing compliment moved the former WWE and WCW champ to tears, yet that large shadow of Andre has always been casted upon Big Show from the infancy of his career which began in WCW in the mid-90’s when he introduced as a modern day Andre. Yet the Big Show in eyes of some has in many ways surpassed his fellow larger-than-life wrestler in his charming demeanor, improved in-ring finesse, and face-crushing KO power. Show could cement his status as the best ‘big man’ ever. It does not hurt that ‘the World’s Largest Athlete’ is widely considered the odds-on favorite to win this match.

Dolph Ziggler

The ShowOff has spent the better part of the last year, coming out on the short end after getting sidelined with a concussion right after winning the World Heavyweight Championship on the first ‘RAW’ after WM29. It seemed like Ziggler worked too fast and put too much swagger on his act, and it simply made him fall off his horse just as he was about to win the race. That was then, and this is now. The 2014 Dolph Ziggler is still a relentless 10-elbow drops-in-a-row warrior who has expressed his focused desire is make his moment this year at WM30. With a revived sense of opportunity and a formidable athletic arsenal, Dolph Ziggler could be shaking his hips in victory and getting sleazy in the Big Easy.

Sheamus

The Celtic Warrior marched out to the ring as a ‘surprise entrant’ at the 2014 Royal Rumble, but no one in the WWE world was surprised. The pale skinned pummeler has had some bruising and brutal brawls with veteran Christian on TV in the last few months, but it just feels like this 2-time WWE Champion is just another face in the crowd. Still there is no stopping Sheamus from running out of that crowd and kicking everyone’s face that stands in his way. This tall Irishman has been victorious at the Royal Rumble, he knows what it takes to survive in this environment.
