Lots of news coming out of Wrestle Mania 30 last night in New Orleans, LA so here we go.
Obviously, the biggest shock of the night came as The Undertaker losing to Brock Lesnar and The Streak ending. I’m not usually a conspiracy guy but I think there’s a chance Taker himself changed the outcome of this match on the fly. While unlikely, part of me feels that could have been the case.
I have no issues with Brock Lesnar and think he’s a huge draw for WWE even on a part-time schedule. With that said, if The Streak was to end, it would have made more sense for a younger, full-time performer to get this type of rub. Wrestling News World.com’s Richard Gray has a very nice piece on this here.
The same website is reporting that Undertaker was taken to a New Orleans area hospital following his match with Brock Lesnar last night with non-life threatening injuries.
Triple H was busted open around his nose during his match with Daniel Bryan and Billy Gunn (according to WWE.com) was coughing up a little blood following his match (alongside Kane and Road Dogg) against The Shield.
Hulk Hogan called last night’s venue (Superdome), the Sliverdome twice before the fans got his attention. Of course, the Silverdome here in Pontiac, MI was the site of Wrestle Mania 3 featuring Hulk Hogan defeating Andre the Giant.
Wrestling News World.com reported that The Undertaker was taken to a New Orleans area hospital following his loss to Brock Lesnar at Wrestle Mania 30.
Triple H was busted open during his bout with Daniel Bryan last night at Wrestle Mania 30. HHH went on to lose to Bryan via pin fall in very good bout.
Hulk Hogan served as the guest host of Wrestle Mania 30 last night. The event opened with Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock sharing the ring (and some beer).
The Superdome in New Orleans, LA held 75,167 fans last night for WWE's 30th annual Wrestle Mania 30. The Superdome is also home of the NFL's New Orleans Saints.
Last night at WWE Wrestle Mania 30, Randy Orton lost the WWE World Heavyweight Championship without being part of the decision. Daniel Bryan won the match when he made Batista tap out.
