Tonight’s ‘WWE RAW’ (7pm C / 8pm E USA Network) may be the biggest episode of the year following the epic events that occurred at last night’s Wrestlemania 30 pay-per-view at the jam-packed Mercedes-Benz Superdome. 'RAW' this week comes to the world live from New Orlean's Smoothie King Center. The next storyline year of WWE kicks off tonight in a proverbial ‘opening day’ of the next season leading to next year’s Wrestlemania 31.
Daniel Bryan triumphed at WM30, winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He defeated Triple H in a qualifying match, and then went on to outperform Randy Orton and Batista. It was Bryan’s night, he created his moment on the grand stage. So with the title around his waist, does the new World Champion do now that he is on top of the wrestling world? Expect the “Yes!” celebration to continue tonight for DBryan and his Yesamaniacs, but every fan knows that the Authority in Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will have some reaction to this rebellion.
R.I.P THE STREAK....and the Undertaker?
We now live in a world where the Undertaker is not undefeated at Wrestlemania and he may have wrestled his final match. That is a sad reality to get into after ‘Taker loss ‘the streak’ last night to Brock Lesnar. It is also compounded by the fact that Undertaker suffered a serious injury in the match with other reported health issues going into the match.
BROCK LESNAR IS THE MOST HATED MAN IN PRO WRESTLING
It goes without saying that Brock Lesnar and his associate Paul Heyman are easily the most hated man in the WWE after defeating the beloved Undertaker. Doing something that no one has been able to do, Lesnar is now able to gloat and brag for infinity. He can call himself the Beast, but the WWE fans will now know him as the man who beat 'the streak'
So with Lesnar on a reported deal that is limited around select dates, what is the next move with all of this momentum? Heyman will be able to turn this into atomic heat tonight on 'RAW' and swing whatever deal his client desires.
CESARO GOES GIGANTIC!
Last night at WM30, Cesaro broke out from the Real Americans tag team with Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter to later in the right, slam the 400 plus pound Big Show over the rope to win the 30 man Andre the Giant Battle Royal. This could be a sign that WWE has seen the positive energy around the Swiss strongman and is getting behind him as he enters the single ranks with the Andre trophy in tow.
Will WWE feel a 'Sting' tonight?
The wrestling world truly did take over New Orleans this past week with WWE Wrestlemania events and non-WWE event was Wrestlecon which featured an appearance by wrestling legend Sting. There has been rumors running rampant for years that former WCW World Champion would make the jump to WWE for the the first day. Sting teased a jump to WWE this weekend during a Q&A at Wrestlecon, saying his new favorite was “31” alluding to nex year’s Wrestlemania 31 in Silicon Valley, California. Could WWE introduce Sting tonight on ‘RAW’? The ‘RAW’ after Wrestlemania is always special and this would be a really special scene to present to build up buzz for the next season.
