WMMA fighters reveal what they want for Christmas

According to a Dec. 15 report from the Columbus Dispatch, around-the-clock hours leading up to Christmas are the next big trend in holiday shopping as retailers look to boost sales.

“It’s designed to capture a couple types of shoppers,” said Chris Boring, principal at Boulevard Strategies. “The first one is the type of shopper who is almost the exact opposite of Black Friday and Thanksgiving Day shoppers. Typically, it’s a male procrastinator, a last-minute shopper who might need a little more help selecting gifts.

“Another group they may be targeting? People who will draw a paycheck on Dec. 20, and a lot of people who will be getting Christmas bonuses then, too.”

Around-the-clock hours could become an annual trend, as more shoppers look to beat the Black Friday early morning rush by shopping on Thanksgiving night.

Millions of people are out getting their last-minute Christmas shopping done, but some other folks have other things on their mind this holiday season.

When it comes to WMMA, a handful of fighters said they want nothing more this Christmas than for their loved ones to remain in great health.

"For Christmas I want good health and unconditional love. That's about all I need," said MMA fighter Molly Dupertuis, when asked by Holden what she wants this Christmas.
