It's important to have essentials and a few favorite things to get you through poor weather.  Make sure you go or send someone- friend, personal care assistant (PCA), neighbor, or whomever- to shop for you.  If you don't have a car, buses like the one above, are a wheelchair friendly option.Carrying cash makes purchasing possible when automatic tellers and credit card machines go off-line as happened during the 2011 Halloween blizzard.Don't be these people.  Shop early, so you and yours can stay home, safe and warm in the upcoming Nor'easter..  Remember medical supplies, prescriptions, and pet food, in addition to normal food.View the list »

There is an upcoming winter storm watch that covers all of Western Massachusetts due to Winter Storm Nemo. The watch starts at 7 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8 to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. People with disabilities (PWD) are more likely to be effected by temperature and weather conditions, so be smart.
