Anaheim is home to one of the world's most popular destinations - Disneyland" where the magic of Walt Disney can be enjoyed every day. But this is not all that Anaheim has to offer, while some areas have not added any new attractions there is an area in Anaheim that is enjoying a healthy growth of popular places to visit.
The area is along Anaheim Boulevard, between West Santa Ana Street and East Broadway where the Packing District, surrounded by City Hall, newly built lofts, the historic Carnegie Library, Muzeo Museum, the Gehry-designed Anaheim ice rink, and the historic neighborhoods of the Colony District, is now a new ongoing development. It includes the restored Packing House; the center street promenade just a few blocks north with clothing stores and niche shops; and Muzeo, a new museum located in the 1908 Carnegie Library on South Anaheim Blvd.
Ideally located the area is 14.9 miles fron Santa Ana and just off the 91-freeway at the La Palma Ave exit. Visitors to the Disneyland area can easily visit as it is only 2.81 miles from the Anaheim Convention Center.

The Packing House
The Packing House is one of the few remaining houses from the agricultural era of Orange County, built in 1919 along the Southern Pacific rail line it was for many years the hub for local farmers making it the ideal place to showcase the 'food hall' with mon-and-pop restaurants. restored building features a community gathering place with a large central atrium for communal dining, surrounded by cafes, kiosks, a dining porch, and outdoor picnic gardens.
Farmers Park is a 2-acre park with a grassy knoll, redwood boardwalk, and an olive grove. The park connects the two historic landmarks - the Packing House and the Packard Building. This is a community gathering place for events throughout the year, such as the weekly Farmers market, the annual Halloween Parade Float viewing, the summertime Farm Folk Festival, and outdoor movies
The Muzeo displays the diverse heriitage of the city through art and creative programs. It hosts three travelling exhibitions each year with enhanced special programs, events and activities. Umami Burger, 338 South Anaheim Street is one of the popular eateries. Umami is a Japanese word that describes the taste imparted by glutamate a type of amino acid found naturally in foods. They have many varities of burgers one of which is the 'specialty Welsh Rabbit Burger' a blend of beef smothered in English cheddar cheese sauce with bread & butter pickles. The Art-Crawl Experience
The Art Crawl Experience, which is scheduled to take place Feb 8 2014 and the second saturday of May August and November, features food trucks and sidewalk chalk-art demonstrations. Attendees can use the 'Anaheim Resort Transit' to get around an area that stretches from Anaheim blvd., to Harbor Blvd.
