Numerous companies have begun offering monthly beauty subscription boxes, and Beauty Box 5 hopes you'll give theirs a try. Wondering what's inside a Beauty Box 5 monthly subscription package?
Beauty Box 5 provided me with one of their beauty boxes in return for an honest evaluation. My box contained the following products:
- Nicka K New York Nail Color, retail price $4.99, 0.5 oz
- Single-use samples of Organix Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner, which retail for $7.99 for full size products
- Glam Natural Mascara, 0.25 oz, retails for $28.00
- Eslor Introductory Collection Calming Kit single-use sample packets of Soothing Refiner & Cleanser, Replenishing Scrub, Comforting Mask and Soothing Cream, priced at $28 to $65 for full size versions
- Vitabath body wash small sample bottle, which costs $7.95 for a 12-oz bottle
Nice product selection
I especially liked the luxurious and delicious smelling Vitabath body wash and wouldn't mind a full-size version of it. Also, the Glam Natural mascara goes on smoothly and doesn't flake off easily or cake into the eye area. The Nicka K New York nail polish came in a rich, stylish, deep crimson color which should work for most skin tones. I also loved the smell of the Organix Coconut Water shampoo and conditioner samples.
Low monthly price
Beauty Box 5 lets you pay monthly at $12 or choose $30 a quarter or $99 a year. Many other beauty product subscription boxes cost $20 to $25 per month and include not only fewer products but also a less diverse mix of product types.
Great for gifts
If you regularly buy birthday gifts for girlfriends or relatives, including teenagers, who adore beauty products, you may find Beauty Box 5 particularly appealing. You can sacrifice your own monthly box if you suddenly need a gift for someone, or buy monthly, quarterly or yearly arrivals for others. If you sign up for a gift recipient to receive a monthly box, she'll feel like it's Christmas or a birthday each month when her new Beauty Box 5 arrives.
You'll probably want to keep each Beauty Box 5 for yourself, though. If you buy a subscription for yourself and receive any products that you don't suit your tastes, you can always save them for making Christmas and birthday gift baskets later.
Monthly subscription boxes in general may especially appeal to people who love trying new things and quickly get tired of the same makeup and nail polish. You can't beat the convenience of having a rich trove of beauty products delivered to your house every month or receiving an automatic feminine gift available each month. You also can't help but feel a jolt of excitement every time your monthly box arrives.
