There has been much talk about diversity at work with some claiming it has no impact on the bottom-line while others say it is the key to sustained quality and profits. Article after article has been written and book after book published. Movies like Whiteface and the award winning Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner have taken interesting looks at diversity in daily life. But to quantify the impact or diversity in the workplace we must rely on a publication by the premier authority on business.
The in-depth research and business cases you have come to expect from HBR are delivered in Harvard Business Review on Managing Diversity. As with their magazine, the book uses compare and contrast scenarios to show the best practices in diversity success.
According to HBR, the book is a "collection of classic and cutting-edge articles, and case studies provides a broad range of perspectives on affirmative action, career development for minorities and women, and other HR-related policies."
It does not have the entertainment value of Three Cups of Tea, but it does cover a wider range of real world experiments in workplace diversity and inclusion
