The City of Atlanta and the Atlanta Falcons reached a deal on Thursday in Atlanta to build a new stadium for the Atlanta Falcons. After much talk and a propaganda campaign, we all knew this would get done, and all that remains to get the wheels in motion is a vote by the Atlanta City Council.
After that, what must people will be talking about is what the new $1 billion stadium will look like.
I have to be believe a retractable roof is in the cards, as this stadium will host a plethora of high profile indoor events like basketball championships, concerts and conventions.
After that, it's anyone's guess, but expect all the modern technology that you might find at the Cowboy's Stadium in Dallas and the homeliness of what you might find with Reliant Stadium in Houston.
The Georgia Dome has been a nice home for the Falcons and many events for over 20 years now. Notice how I used the word "nice."
Expect this new monster of a stadium to "wow" the citizens of Atlanta and sports fans for many years to come.
Here's what other cities have built in recent years when it comes to stadiums.
