President Barack Obama spoke about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) at the White House in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 21, just 20 days after the mandate went into affect. The poorly named "Affordable" Care Act better known as Obamacare from here on is not getting many good reviews for many reasons.
One reason is the lack of website access making it difficult to shop for the best healthcare plan. Another is scripted calls where operators are told to inform callers if they have not applied for Obamacare they must wait 42 hours to register online. The twist is that citizens cannot register over the phone, applicants must download and fill out a paper form or register online.
Then rumors are circulating that the website glitches keep people from seeing comparisons of the actual fees of each healthcare plan. It also stops journalist and media organizations from having access to these numbers as well. Is this intentional via the Obama administration or just poorly administered plans at the tune of several millions of dollars?
