Weekend at the Wineries: Enjoy the afternoon savoring your favorite wines

Chaddsford Winery will host its snow bar March 9 and 10 from 1 to 6 p.m. Enjoy a mug of the winery’s various spiced wines for $5 in their heated tent, which are warmed by fire pits. Cost includes souvenir mug. No reservations required and the winery suggests visitors stay bundled in the tents.Crossing Vineyards and Winery presents “Wine and Spirits” tarot card reading and wine tasting March 7 at 7 p.m. Enjoy a wine tasting, dessert and individual tarot card readings with friends. This is a new monthly event that costs $35. Reservations are required due to space limitations.On March 10, Crossing Vineyards and Winery presents a wine tasting and yoga group at 11:30 a.m. Enjoy a one hour Vinyasa yoga class for beginners and advance levels. A private wine tasting will follow. Cost is $35 and reservations are required, as well is a yoga mat.Following that afternoon, the winery helps new wine-comers with “A Dummies Guide to Wine Tasting” class at 2 p.m. Learn to be a wine tasting expert and have fun. As we roll into the second weekend on March, the Philadelphia wineries are gearing up for spectacular events. Unfortunately, many of those events come later in the month. But until then, savor a little wine at these events that will tickle your taste buds and encourage your passion.

Although, if you are looking to make your way through a wine trail, throughout March Barrels on the Brandywine will be taking place on the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail. Wineries along the trail will offer barrel tastings and unique pairings all weekend long, every weekend throughout the month.

For those who want to enjoy the nectar of one winery, there are social events happening that will encourage the mind, body and soul while nourishing the wine lover in all of us. For those that just want to relax, wine tastings at your local winery are always available.

Please note that all events require attendees to be 21-years-old and over.
