Every Sunday morning millions gather together in their respective houses of worship to praise God. Have you ever noticed that people use many different means to show their love and worship to God? There are those who move and groove, some who quietly sit in adoration, and others who raise their hands in abandonment.
In christian circles there have been many debates over what authentic worship looks like. People should not look on the outward appearance to judge if someone is truly worshiping God, but unfortunately many do. That being said, there are biblical descriptions of the various ways that people have praised God, especially in the Psalms. This is not to say that these are the only ways to worship God, however the following is a list of the most common avenues that people use to corporately worship.
