This warm up won’t be here tonight however. Clearing skies and calm winds will help get the temperature down into the lower 50s by Wednesday morning. It will be a little warmer than the low of 49 degrees this morning, but still certainly jacket worthy.
We will start off with some sunshine on Wednesday but see an increase in cloud cover throughout the day. Luckily no rain is in the forecast so you can keep the umbrella at home. Expect a high in the middle 70s much like today.
A moderately strong area of low pressure will swing through the upper Midwest Thursday and Friday. This will send a surge of moisture and a cold front our direction towards the end of this week.
Humidity will notably increase on Thursday and so will the temperature as it heads for the lower 80s. A few showers and thunderstorms may develop during the afternoon hours on Thursday, but they will be just widely scattered. The cold front will swing through Friday night bringing the highest chance for thunderstorms. A few scattered showers and storms will also be possible during the rest of the day, but the best chance will be during the evening hours. High temperatures will hit the middle 80s Friday ahead of the front.
A return to cool weather is in the works for the upcoming weekend behind the front. Highs will drop back down in the 70s and lows in the lower 50s. This means it will not be quite as cool as this past dose of fall weather.
The full 7-day is in the slideshow/list!
