We’ve come a long way from the time of scurvy, the plague and other disastrous illnesses due to a lack of fresh fruits and vegetables. Today it seems that once again many people are unable to purchase fresh produce.

Most salaries have not risen in proportion to inflation. The take home pay check is not enough to cover basics necessities such as rent, insurance, heat and many other necessities. Highly competitive and productive requirement guidelines provided by big corporations prevent many from sitting down to enjoy a peaceful lunch.

Rapid climate change is creating havoc with crops production. The unfortunate choice is to put aside the high cost of fresh nutritional foods and replace with canned or prepared food.

Malnourished Americans are more prone to illnesses; despite modern technological and pharmacological advances. Health insurance will not provide this ‘crucial nourishment’. Comparing industrialized countries providing health care, it is astonishing to find that this does not guarantee optimal health.

  • The question is: Who will profit from mandatory health care insurance?

Physiological needs: food.Healthy food is at the lowest level of the Maslow pyramid. Physiological needs are also needed for human survival. If these requirements are not met, the human body cannot function properly, and will ultimately fail.

Processed food, additives, and many harmful chemicals are part of a majority of Americans diet. Most contain zero vitamin. It can seem outrageous but this is a daily and reality for millions of Americans.
