Hair is a problem, always a problem for women (and some men too.) But as problems go keeping track of hair while you're dancing is quite an issue. Do you restrain the hair or do you just deal with it. Yesterday at the Minnesota Vikings National Football League game in Minneapolis there was a hair issue that was revealed.
The Vikings chose not to restrain their cheerleader's hair and, perhaps, the lack of a regulatory function in this sports venue (and to restrain or regulate the hair) is inspiring in this world where everything seems to be under scrutiny. Even hair you say? Why not regulate hair those regulatory wonks would insist.
I've heard that some sports organizations retsrain hair of their cheerleaders by use of various devices and in effect they are retraining it. 'Bad hair, bad hair' you might imagine the hair hearing in its mind's ear.
Is it a residue of our incessant chasing of the perfectly managed and manageable image. It should be noted that football players themselves occasionally let their hair become a controversy.
I remember the controversy several years back when Troy Polamalu intercepted a pass and was dragged down by his long hair.
Let it flow!
