If you want to learn Fair Isle, lace and/or cable knitting, let Lynne Watterson be your knitting teacher. She has written a thorough lesson plan that includes graphs, step by step drawings and clear, detailed photographs. Lynne is an experienced teacher, editor and contributor to craft magazines.
Lynne Watterson's series of "The Very Easy Guide..." is very user friendly. The lesson plan style will have you learning the techniques and skills. The projects provided will inspire you. Yarns for the projects are given in number of grams needed, as opposed to calling out a brand name. This will allow you to look through your stash and be creative. The motif/stitch guides will help you in designing your own projects.
Beginners will feel confident with these guides and quickly improve their skill level to expert. Fair Isle only looks complicated. Lace knitting is perfect for the warmer months ahead. Cables are classic and have an air of sophistication about them. Learn these techniques and the essential aftercare of your finished projects.
