Upcoming titles for next gen consoles

It has been 4 months since the release of the new generation consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. In that time each console has only seen one to two exclusive release successes. Enough time has passed that many early adopters question their decisions to have purchased them so early. Soon their worries should be allayed as new titles are shipped in the next month that are designed with them in mind. Some are available on multiple consoles or platforms, but their shine and features are more apparent on the newer hardware.

Titanfall

Titanfall is a multiplatform release from Electronic Arts due out March 11th. It is a multiplayer based first-person shooter that features the ability for players to quickly traverse the battlefield with wall runs and a jet pack for double jumps. The titular titans come in many varieties with their own strengths and weaknesses and players can call them down when the time is right to try and turn the battle in their favor.

inFamous: Second Son

The third major release in the series, Second Son features a new protagonist and new city location, fully based on Seattle. Delsin is a conduit like previous main character Cole, except he has the ability to absorb the power of others and make it his own. Featuring revamped platforming mechanics to make us of Delsin's smoke powers and enhanced graphics, the game releases to PS4 on March 21st.

Thief

Thief is a multiplatform revival of the franchise of the same name. Making use of first person views, the player has the ability to traverse levels in a variety of ways and options, completely open to their play style. They may climb rooftops or put out candlelight with water arrows, the goal to get in and out without confrontation. Thief sneaks in on February 25th.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

The latest entry into the ground-breaking saga, is available on multiple home consoles. Acting as a prequel to the upcoming Phantom Pain, Ground Zeroes is the first time to feature Kiefer Sutherland taking over the role of Big Boss. The game features a larger open world than ever before and dynamic day/night systems, both offering brand new ways to perform the tactical espionage action the series is known for. Causing some controversy for the supposed completion time of the game vs the cost, the public will be able to weigh on the value properly themselves come March 18th.
