Create your baby sock roses just as you would for a baby sock corsage. Roll the sock from toe to heel. As you near the ankle, roll the ankle around the sock to create the rose bud. Thread the baby sock to the middle of a piece of 12" floral wire. Twist both sides of the wire to create the stem.Next, wrap floral tape starting at the "neck" of the rose, and wrap in a downward motion until you reach the end of the rose stem. It's ok to use multiple layers of floral tape, as this secures the wire and makes the rose sturdier.

For this project, you will need:

  • Add your ribbons to the corsage, tying the ribbons into a single bow. It is best to tie the bow close to the base of the corsage.Add a drop of glue to the knot of the bow to secure it in place.
  • Glue the pin to the back of the bow with a clear drying glue. For this step, I used Gorilla Glue. However, this type of glue doesn't dry clear and is very adhesive, so if you use a similar type of glue, be very ginger with it.Tip: On the boutonniere, I didn't use any tulle because I felt it was too feminine. However, you can add tulle if you like as you assemble the boutonniere.
  • You can also add additional ornaments or use spray glitter for floral arrangements to add the final touches to your boutonniere.After your baby sock boutonniere is complete, you can wrap it as a gift for the father-to-be or the grandfather-to-be.
