MMA fans witnessed history at UFC 157. It was the first time women competed in the UFC. The event headlined by Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche lived up to the hype.
Despite the crowd pleasing performance by both ladies the fight did not earn performance honors by the UFC. Honors for Submission, Fight and Knockout of the night were given to the men. Dana White was so impressed by Robbie Lawler’s Knockout of Josh Koscheck he rushed from his seat to immediately cut Lawler his Knockout of the night bonus.
