The Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy in partnership with Westminster College will launch its 2013-2014 Ambassador John Price and Marcia Price World Affairs Lecture Series on Tuesday, September 17. It will feature internationally respected analyst and pollster John Zogby. Mr. Zogby will discuss increased global awareness experienced by Americans born between 1979 and 1994 aka First Globals.
Tuesday’s lecture will focus on Zogby’s book, First Globals: Understanding, Managing and Unleashing Our Millennial Generation. Written with Millennial Management Consultant Joan Snyder Kuhl, Zogby explains why this new generation is more globally aware. They are a “transformative group” that Zogby maintains is “best equipped of all to thrive and solve the problems of our shared world today and tomorrow.” Their numbers and their talents will have a huge impact on the future and therefore all of us. It is critical that we understand and help position them for success.
A best-selling author, Mr. Zogby writes for Forbes.com and the Huffington Post. His widely respected opinions have been published in the New York Times, Financial Times, and Wall Street Journal. Founder and Senior Analyst of Zogby Analytics and the Zogby Poll, he is also a senior advisor at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and a commissioner for the Center for Strategic and International Studies Commission on Smart Power.
UCCD’s lecture series is free and open to the public. Mr. Zogby’s lecture is scheduled for Tuesday, September 17 at 7 p.m. in the Vieve Gore Concert Hall, found in the Emma Eccles Jones Conservatory at Westminster College, 1840 South 1300 East in Salt Lake City.
