The phrase “If everyone jumps off a bridge, would you?” encapsulates the logic of rejecting the masses. However, when an individual sees a litany of tumbling followers, the question surfaces, “why is everyone leaping?” The common voice corralling the community of “True Blood” enthusiasts, after the season six finale, was one of confusion. The previous episode was action accelerated, blood smearing, and echoed the pulse of panic throughout each frightfully frantic frame. The ending of this season for the HBO hit drama, left many people, who were inflated by the events of previous episodes, hollowed and bewildered. The finale recycled exhausted plotlines and signaled a distressing retreat for some. The bridge is being emptied by a few in this passionate fan base. The reason behind their leap: The bridge is on fire.
