Top five cosplays at Queen City Kamikaze 2013

Weren't able to make it to Queen City Kamikaze? Here were the top five characters or shows that were cosplayed this year.

5. Doctor Who

For anime fans, Doctor Who and anime are almost synonymous. Always a popular character to portray, the Doctor himself was represented in his various incarnations as well as the TARDIS, Daleks, and one person who went as the personification of Doctor Who fandom.

4. Black Butler

Released in the United States in 2010, "Black Butler" still remains a very popular show among anime fans, with many cosplaying either as Sebastian, variations on Ciel, or as Grim Reaper Grell Sutcliff.

3. Pokemon

The show still remains popular among younger (and some older) fans, with many dressing as Pokemon trainers and the various popular Pokemon themselves.

2. Internet memes

Can't think of a character? Go as a meme! Many people dressed up as popular internet memes such as Trollface or went with sings around their necks reading "Free Hugs."

1. Puella Magi Madoka Magica

Since its release on DVD last year, "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" and its story about the dark side of being a magical girl has grown in popularity, with many choosing to go as characters from the show, including the five magical girls themselves and their mysterious "familiar" Kyubey."
