Four National Lacrosse League teams saw action on Friday, February 15, 2013 with the home teams coming out on top.
The featured game of the night, Toronto Rock vs. Calgary Roughnecks, ended in favor of Toronto in front of over 10,000 Rock fans inside the Air Canada Center.
Although Calgary started the game's scoring and led at the end of the first quarter, Toronto took control in the second quarter to nab an 8-6 lead going into the halftime break.
The Rock's scoring run continued into the second half as they extended their lead to as many as 7 goals. The Roughnecks cut the deficit to 4 goals in the last quarter, but the game would end 17-12.
Also on tap was a West Division match-up as the Edmonton Rush hosted the Washington Stealth at Rexall Place in front of a substantially smaller crowd of about 5,500.
Edmonton defense mixed with Washington's poor ball control resulted in a 3-goal first half effort out of the Stealth. Taking a 7-3 lead into the second half, the Rush controlled the game from the onset.
Although Washington strung 3-straight goals together in the final quarter, it was too little too late for the Stealth as Edmonton won 15-10.
