The Air Jordan 3 Retro '88 will be available online only at approximately 4:51 PM EST on Feb. 6, Nike revealed on Tuesday. Worn by Michael Jordan during the 1988 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, the Retro '88 will have the same look and close to the same feel, with the minor exception being the "Jordan" name on the bottom outsole replacing the "Nike" that was in the original shoes.
Another reason why the Retro '88 are so eagerly awaited by sneakerheads everywhere is because the "Nike Air" has returned to the heel. Since the 2001, Jordan Brand has opted to remove all Nike branding from their retro products and replacing them with the iconic Jumpman logo. While the switch has not really deterred most fans from buying the retro sneakers, there have been those in the population who have held out in the hopes that Nike and Jordan Brand will bring back the "Nike Air."
The shoes will be available in both Men's and GS Sizes for $200.00 and $125.00, respectively. Click on the list above to see which online stores will be carrying the shoes.
