Approximately 4.5 million people are bitten by dogs each year and nearly half of those are children. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, "of those who are bitten, about 885,000, require medical attention for dog bite-related injuries." In 2012, more than 27,000 people underwent reconstructive surgery as a result of being bitten by dogs. As if those statistics aren't scary enough on their own, thanks to a report released by the United States Postal Service, we also now know the "top dog attack" ranking cities.
