Find your Valentine this February not by going online but by finding your best friend soulmate (canine or feline) at a pet adoption event in the Los Angeles area. If you have decided to bring home a new family member for life, here are some upcoming adoption events to check out:
My Furry Valentine: Hosted by the spcaLA on February 14, this is a special adoption event to find your true blue true love because you'll never meet a person more loyal than your dog or cat. Contrary to popular belief, cats are just as loyal, they just don't show it as much.
Much Love Animal Adoptions Mobile Adoptions: Every Sunday the rescue hosts a mobile adoption by the Farmer's Market in Santa Monica. Check the news section of the website to get the latest details.
Seal Beach Animal Shelter Pet Adoptions: Free food with every adoption at this mobile event in Long beach. Takes place on February 16, 2103 from noon to 5:00 p.m.
Best Friends Animal Society Los Angeles: The first weekend after Valentine's Day, there will be pet mobile adoption events on Saturday and Sunday. Check the website as not all events will offer both cats and dogs as your new fur baby.
Hope for Paws Animal Rescue: A special mention to this organization who rescued a German Shepherd trapped in the Los Angeles River. Watch the video of the rescue. Who says German Shepherds aren't friendly? They're usually only unfriendly if you have bad intentions.
