We always liked auto racing and we've always liked race car driver Danica Patrick. Now put the two together in a big event scheduled for Sunday February 24 which is NASCAR's Daytona 500 and bang! We've got an event worth watching.
Nashville pulls big for the many race car drivers from this area, and although Danica is not from here locally, we still like her and we are pulling for her to win this big race.
When she made history by obtaining the pole position for Sunday's Daytona 500 race, we knew it would be an exciting time.
We are friends on Facebook with one of the local TV sportscasters, Rudy Kalis on WSMV-TV Channel 4 in Nashville, and Rudy posed an interesting question to his Facebook friends today:
"A good friend of mine put this question out on his Facebook page and I liked it. Here it is. How do you think Danica Patrick will do in the Daytona 500 on Sunday. Pick a finishing position if you like."
Then my response was the first:
"Hoping she wins and makes history again, Rudy, good question!
From there, Rudy's question has generated many answers, some predicting Danica Patrick will win, some DNF, and many in between winning and not finishing. Most did agree that it is good publicity for NASCAR.
