Valentine’s Day puts the pressure on for love and romance. Flowers, chocolates, and the good cards run out extremely fast. Restaurant reservations should have been made yesterday. Plans have to be made well in advance.
Consider escaping the hustle and bustle of everyone around you by celebrating Valentine’s Day at home with dinner and a movie. There are many ways to go about it. First, get any kids out of the house. Now, what kind of couple are you?
Are you foodies? Buy take-out from a good restaurant. Set out the nice china. Light two tall candles in between a single, pristine, red rose. Eat dinner, and then watch a movie.
But perhaps you are both laid-back. Buy Chinese take-out and eat dinner while watching a movie. Is it cold where you are? Light the fireplace or cuddle up underneath a blanket or a couch throw, which is slightly smaller if you catch my drift.
