Matthew West's hit song "Do Something" has remained strong at the number ten slot this week. The song comes from his album "Into the Light" which was released on September 25, 2012.
West was inspired to write the song after meeting a college student, who while studying abroad in Uganda, felt compelled to help a group of children who were being abused in an orphanage and no one would help them. She convinced the government to close down the orphanage, and with the assistance of people from the US, together they built a new orphanage for the children that is thriving today.
When she was asked what made her fight for those kids, she responded "I just kept thinking, 'if I don't do something, who will?'"
