Are you unsure about your child watching or reading anime? Is it because of violence or sexual themes? Well don't worry, not every anime out there is for adults only. In fact, there are many animes out there that will teach your child lessons about life, for example: Full metal Alchemist or Sailor Moon even. Anime is not necessarily a bad thing; just like any show that is out there, but there are some that have adult content. Anime can provide children with dreams and a life-long passion that will unite them with good friends. So when you’re debating on letting your child watch or read anime remember, it’s not all bad, but depending on their age there definitely needs to be a limit. Certain animes and genres are not appropriate for all ages. As a parent you should be savvy in the anime terms like yaoi, yuri, and hentai. Those three terms indicate material that is definitely for people 18 and older, especially the third. To help you otaku parents, here are 10 animes that children under 17 should definitely not watch or read.
