Three convention centers are in downtown Nashville, one more added soon

We currently have at least three convention centers in downtown Nashville already, with one more which is being built and is scheduled to be opening soon. We're not sure of the thinking of Nashville's city leaders when they decided on building an additional convention center to be added to the three current ones that we have photos to show you.

We do realize that Nashville is a destination city for many music stars to hold their concerts and for many businesses and organizations to hold their annual meetings and seminars. We perhaps do understand the perception of our city leaders that a newer, bigger and better facility was necessary to attract more and more conventions.

Music City USA tries to draw in the crowds for these events, such as the CMA Music Festival which is held in downtown Nashville each June. In the earlier days, the CMA Festival was known as 'Fan Fair' and was actually held on the streets of Nashville, without a lot of city involvement, with the meetings and many concerts being held at the Nashville Fairgrounds facilities Now, many of the CMA events are held at one of the local convention centers, and many of the country music concerts are held at the home of the Tennessee Titans, at LP Field.

The newest convention center being added to our fair city is a huge building. We see it as we drive by and take photos of it as it progresses along. We are excited to see it when it is finished and open for business!
