"The Wrong Woman" synopsis/plot

Ellen is a young, happy housewife living in the suburbs until she is approached by two detectives accusing her of attempted murder. Since security video shows that Ellen was the last person leaving the scene where the woman was beaten and left for dead, the police believe that Ellen is a likely suspect. Plus, the victim was having an affair with Ellen's husband.

According to Lifetime, the idea for the movie came from Alfred Hitchock's movie "The Wrong Man." Hitchock's version was based on the true story of Christopher Balestrero, a man who was accused of robbery in the New York during the1950's.
