The Jan. 31 episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 4, episode 12, "A View to a Kill" was undoubtedly one of the best of the season. Fans were treated to an hour of shocking revelations, emotional moments and a surprising death. Warning, if you missed the episode, spoilers are ahead!
This episode saw Bonnie coming into her own as a witch. In the past, Bonnie has been quite timid and reluctant to fully embrace her magic. After losing her powers, she didn't think she would ever practice magic again. Professor Shane opened her eyes to "Expression" which is a form of dark magic, and Bonnie's really changed! She's confident and strong, but will she be able to keep this new magic under control?
The episode also showcased two of the show's couples, Damon and Elena and Stefan and Rebekah. Damon and Elena are finally reunited and they greet each other with a warm embrace. Stefan and Rebekah start the episode on uncertain terms, but by the end of the hour, they open up to each other and grow closer.
Most exciting of all was the death of Kol. His fiery death in the Gilbert house will certainly have repercussions, especially when Klaus escapes capture!
