San Diego is a beautiful city, walk around and you will see all of the beautiful people, walk a little farther and notice all of the beautiful couples. In the great city of San Diego (population 1.3 million) there must be a place where all of these beautiful couples you see at seemingly every corner of this city meet each other...right?

This list is comprised of places around San Diego that offer high potential opportunities to meet singles. All places included on this list were chosen based off of their current frequency of attendance or popularity within the San Diego nightlife community. The following results were categorized based off of qualitative and hands-on research.

5. Altitude, Downtown San Diego

This place is slowly becoming one of San Diego's staples regarded by many as one of ‘the’ lounges to check out while in San Diego. Its view is a 360-degree panoramic wingman offering one of San Diego's most popular views directly overlooking San Diego’s Petco Park. Altitude also offers good music and plenty of open space to mingle with a wild assortment of singles that flock to this destination every night the Padres are in town or regularly at night Thursdays through Sundays.

4. The Tipsy Crow, Downtown San Diego

Obscure name, great beer, good food, and a Nintendo freaking Wii. This place offers all of the nightlife trimmings and an easy opening for you to interact with the opposite sex.

3. Prospect Street, La Jolla

All respect to Pacific Beach and Garnet Ave as there is plenty of party to go around in that area, but Prospect has the culture and the class to go along with its bar scene. Walk down these streets and find anything from ice cream parlors to art galleries. Known as the “Rodeo Drive” of San Diego, Prospect is a place where you could wind up meeting someone and taking them on a first and second date in the same day; there is enough to do on the touristy street to keep the average San Diegan busy for hours.

2. Intervention, Downtown San Diego

Ok ok, this may not technically qualify as “nightlife”, however, there are not many better ways to get your night started than at the best day party in San Diego (Wave house comes in a very close second). Roll right into whatever nighttime plans you will have left after a day filled with sun, skin, sex, and San Diego. Hardrock's Intervention is loaded with sexy singles with an atmosphere that promotes partying that likely will not stop when the doors close at 7 PM on Sundays.

1. Coffee Bean/Starbucks

Some of these do stay open to 11 PM and sit in one of these waiting for your drink of choice for more than 5 minutes and watch the singles flood in. Girls and guys flock to these establishments seemingly 24 hours a day and it’s not only for the coffee. A laid back atmosphere which serves a place to think, work and chat with the same/opposite sex, the coffee shop is a place that is on everybody’s radar.
