It’s that time again – time for The Tenth Life Easter pie sale! The Tenth Life – Dayton’s largest no-kill shelter for cats - has three pie sales every year – at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Pies are supplied by local bakery Mehaffie’s, known in the Dayton area for their delicious quality pies. You may select from a variety of fruit pies, pecan pies and cream pies. Pies are only $9 each, and order blanks are incorporated in The Tenth Life newsletter, or you can call The Tenth Life at (937) 376-5550 and request an order form be sent to you, or you can simply mail a check with your neatly written pie order to The Tenth Life, P.O. Box 178, Alpha, Ohio 45301-0178. Pie orders with payment are due by March 16, 2013. The pies will be available for pickup at The Tenth Life on March 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Tenth Life will order extra pies to have on hand in case you decide to pick up a few more that day, but they won’t have extras in every flavor.
The usual pie flavors include apple, cherry, peach, Dutch apple, pecan, blueberry, coconut cream and chocolate cream, however, any pie flavor that Mehaffie’s is making can be ordered. If you don’t see the flavor you fancy, email The Tenth Life and they will try to get it for you. Save time and energy – while helping the homeless kitties at The Tenth Life - by purchasing pies for your Easter dinner from The Tenth Life fundraiser!
On this same date, also from 10:30 to 5 p.m., The Tenth Life will be having their annual Easter bake sale. The Tenth Life– will have their usual beautiful and delicious assortment of candies, cookies, cakes and more. There is something to satisfy everyone at your holiday dinner table at The Tenth Life Easter bake sale, and you won’t have to spend any time or effort preparing them. The baked goods are always beautiful to look at – some are elaborately painted with food-safe colors – and there will be items suitable for Easter baskets! If you would like to be one of the bakers for this sale, you may deliver your baked goods on Friday evening, March 29 from 4:30-7 p.m. or after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
