The Harlem Globetrotters come to the Sprint Center this weekend

The 60th Annual Kansas City Boat and Sportshow begins Thursday January 23 and runs through Sunday January 26 at Bartle Hall in downtown Kansas City. The sports show will feature the Dock Dogs Competition, Fred’s Shed Interactive Learning Center, free fishing for kids, outdoor cooking classroom, and hunting expert Synthia Wilson among other events.

The weekend in Kansas City will feature several sporting events. On Saturday January 25 the Harlem Globetrotters will play at the Sprint Center. Friday night the Missouri Comets will play the St. Louis Ambush at the Independence Events Center and on Saturday at the center, the Missouri Mavericks take on Tulsa. Sunday the Children’s Therapeutic Learning Center Groundhog Run will be held at Hunt Midwest Subtropolis.

Davey's Uptown Rambler Club

Davey’s Uptown Ramblers Club is located just south of downtown at 3402 Main in Kansas City.  Friday night the club presents Attic Light, Fight the Quiet, and Mad Libby at 9 p.m.  Saturday night at 9 p.m., the club will feature Suckertrain, The Devil and the Southern Fellowship, and Starcrows.

Kelly’s Westport Inn located at 500 Westport Road, in the Westport Entertainment District, will feature on stage The Pat Lentz Band at 10 p.m.  At 10 p.m. on Saturday night, Flanningan’s Right Hook takes the main stage.  Kelly’s Westport Inn has an outdoor dining and drinking area located on the rooftop of the business.

The RecordBar is located at 1020 Westport Road in the Westport Entertainment District.   On Friday night at 7 p.m., the club presents Drunkard’s Dream and at 10 p.m. Meck & The Guilty Birds, Anna Cole & The Other Lovers, The Phillistines, Frieght Train, and Rabbit Killer.  On Saturday at 7 p.m., Jeff Porter takes the stage and at 10 p.m., Members Only perform a 80’s Tribute.

The Riot Room is located just north of Westport Road at 4048 Broadway in the Westport Entertainment District.  On Friday night at 8 p.m., Global Dance Midwest Presents:  Willy Joy and Brent Tactick.  On Saturday at 8 p.m., Electric City Presents:  The Runaway Sons, The Donner Diaries, KC Thieves, and American Ghouls and at 11 p.m. Scumbag Saturday Presents:  Swizzymack, DJ Spinstyles, and Tracebeats with DJ Jeremy Tracy.

Uptown Arts Bar

The Uptown Arts Bar is located at Valentine and Broadway near the Uptown Theater.  The bar is a celebration of the performing arts in the Kansas City area.  On Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. the club presents KC Voices, Poetry and Prose.  On Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. the club features the music of Howard Iceberg and Scott Hrabko.  At 9 p.m. the club features the #hashtag music video release party for Cache Monet.
