One of the best pieces of design technology that Magic has, hands-down, is the keyworded mechanic. The evergreen ones give the game a sense of constant cohesion and allow for easy offhand ways to refer to things that cards do very, very often, and block-specific keywords can communicate themes very clearly and add a surprising amount of flavor. The idea of boiling down rules text into one-word shorthand has been around since Alpha, and done literally hundreds of times since - but not all keywords are created equal. While they all have their fans, some are better-loved than others, and some are so famous or infamous that any Magic player can quote from their Comprehensive Rules entries. These five are in the last category.
