The annual staff and faculty show at Art Lab allowed faculty at the Staten Island school for the arts show guests attending the exhibit just how good they really are. Any would-be artist would love to enroll in classes at the school located on the beautiful and bucolic grounds of The Snug Harbor Cultural & Botanical Gardens.
I visited the exhibit that included faculty paintings, sculptures, and photography and was impressed by the work by the school's faculty. Art Lab is nestled within the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural & Botanical Center in Livingston, Staten Island.
About Art Lab
Art Lab offers a complete curriculum of beginner-to-advanced courses in the fundamental disciplines — drawing, color theory, composition etc. — for would-be artists of all ages.
The Faculty Show 2013
Faculty at Art Lab that took part in the show included such notable painters as Susan Roecker, Griselda Healy, Robert Sievert, and Morgan Taylor, to name a few of the artists exhibiting their art work. Portrait paintings by Robert Sievert and Susan Roecker, sculpture by Patrick De Cicco, New York City cityscapes by Griselda Healy, and and a moving still-life of a skull by artist Morgan Taylor made a big impression on me when visiting this exhibit. The show is up during the holiday season at Art Lab, on the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden,1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston.
