The best Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Super Bowl

Four former Oklahoma State players are playing in the 2013 Super Bowl, two each for the 49ers and Ravens. A total of 17 former Oklahoma State players have made 29 appearances n the ultimate championship game in football.

Offensive lineman Jon Kolb made four appearances with the Steelers, and Thurman Thomas made four with the Buffalo Bills. Dexter Manley made three appearances wtih the Redskins. Walt Garrison was there twice with the Cowboys; TErry Brown twice with the Vikings and Charlie Johnson twice with the Colts. Jack Golden made it with different teams, with the Giants and the Buccaneers.

This year four players are there but only two will likely see action. Kendall Hunter of the 49ers and Ryan McBean of the Ravens are both in injured reserve. Billy Bajema with the Ravens and Perrish Cox with the 49ers are both active.

A few times they have played against each other. In Super Bowl IX, Terry Brown playing for Minnesota and Jon Kolb was playing for Pittsburgh. In Super Bowl XXV, Johnson Washington was playing for the Redskins, and Thurman Thomas and Matt Monger were playing for the Buffalo Bills.
