When the lights go down at the Disneyland Resort there's more to see than just fireworks and water shows. Some of the same attractions you rode under the sun will offer a different, delightful experience when the park is cloaked in night. Primarily taking place out of doors, attractions like the Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Radiator Springs Racers take on a whole new glow in the dark, and are well worth a second visit even if you've already been through during the daytime.
Other rides, typically those with at least some outdoor sections, may also benefit from the night. Examples of these would include Splash Mountain, with its drop and some flume sections exposed to the sky, and the Matterhorn. Guests riding these attractions can get glimpses of the illuminated park from on high, a fun change of pace from the usual landscape.
Also of interest would be the Pirates of the Caribbean, though not quite for the same reasons. The classic boat ride is set entirely at night, an effect achieved by being entirely indoors. Because of this, guests normally enter the attraction building to find themselves transitioning from sunny California to the cool dark of a New Orleans bayou. While this is a fantastic trick in the day, vacationers visiting by night will encounter instead a seamless passage that makes the experience all the more engrossing.
