Fall is finally here and men want to know what to shop for so they can look their very best in this new season. A street style photographer, Melodie Jeng snapped photos of men on the streets of Florence, Milan, and Paris during the recent Fall 2013 shows and captured images of stylish men. So what did she discover?
Seven of men’s best fall fashion trends: burgundy, black leather, plaid, cuffed pants, statement scarves and backpacks. They’re major for making a fashion statement this fall.
Statement scarves: Bundle up in big scarves and style it anyway. Whether it’s a solid or patterned scarf, a bold neckwear choice will emanate warmth, classiness and sophistication.
Camo: A more deconstructed interpretation on the print is the way to go for wearing camo these days, getting away from the traditional, structured bright green and olive tones.
Burgundy: A runway trend that’s been embraced in subtle ways like shoes, bracelets, belts, beanies, as well as major pieces like coats, cardigans and sweaters.
Black Leather: Black is always present in fashion week, but a more minimal leather outerwear pieces in sharp cuts and strong lines has emerged this fall.
Plaid: It’s on again. Plaid is literally everywhere—on scarves, hats, shirts, bags, jackets, coats, and vests.
Cuffed pants: Cuffed denim and brown oxfords are huge right now, as well as ankle-bearing style in velvet, wool, and cotton sweatpants paired with casual dress shoes to loud high top sneakers.
Backpacks: Function meets fashion in variety of backpacks. Olive drab army style, camel colored satchels and sharp leather pieces are hitting the streets.
