In a Friday email to her supporters, Terri Lynn Land stated her case to repeal Obamacare. “The Obamacare health care exchanges are less than two weeks away, but we’ve already started to feel the pain, she wrote. “Businesses are laying off workers and workers’ hours are being cut.”
Land, former Michigan Secretary of State, is an announced candidate for the 2014 Michigan Senate race. She will be vying to pick-up the seat being vacated by the retirement of Carl Levin. Land, a Republican, will be facing Democrat Congressman Gary Peters and others likely to announce between now and next year.
Michigan has seen a growing number of jobs being changed from full-time to part-time and employers delaying full-time hiring citing Obamacare as the reason.
Land said, “This train wreck of government regulation and federal overreach has to be stopped. We can’t allow this law to create a lost decade for the entire country.”
But Land is not simply saying Obamacare is to be overturned she is offering alternatives.
“We need real free market solutions that are efficient and effective,” said Land. “Your health care choices need to be in your hands, not the government.”
