With the holidays fast approaching, FUNimation Entertainment has released some incredible animé series and movies that will not only keep you on the edge of your seat, but will also keep your wallet as big as Santa's belly, with many of these titles just under thirty dollars.

1) Wolf Children ($25 DVD; $30 Blu-Ray/DVD Combo) - "Wolf Children" tells the story of single mother Hana, and her two children, Ame and Yuki, who are half-human and half-wolf. This is a story of not only a family's struggle and acceptance of who they are, but also serves as a reminder to us all about accepting others for who they are in life.

2) Soul Eater: The Complete Series ($24 DVD Set; $24 Blu-Ray/DVD Combo) - The hit fantasy series focuses around the lives of the students of Death Weapon Meister Academy, and its' title character, reaper Soul Eater Evans and his meister Maka Albarn. The series follows their adventures of learning how to work as a team with their friends in order stop the evil Medusa before she can awaken an ultimate demon known only as Asura. The series is the perfect blend of action, drama and comedy, and features a talented cast of actors.

3) Akira: 25th Anniversary Edition ($22 DVD; $30 Blu-Ray/DVD Combo) - This animé masterpiece, set in 2018 post-apocalyptic Japan, tells the story of biker Kaneda, who tries to rescue his telekinetic friend Tetsuo, who becomes involved in a secret government project known as Akira. This movie grants viewers a window into a dystopian future, filled with social isolation, government corruption, and the heavy prices a society must pay in its' struggle for power.

4) Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine ($40 DVD Set; $59 Blu-Ray/DVD Combo) - "Lupin the Third" is one of the most recognized shows in animé, and the newest incarnation of the series focuses around the story of Fujiko Mine, Lupin's gorgeous lover and rival, and the one heist that would bring them together as a team. This also marks the return of the original Fujiko Mine from the Geneon dub, Michelle Ruff, and features behind-the scenes extras with the main cast.

5) One Piece Film: Strong World ($30 DVD; $31 Blu-Ray/DVD Combo) - When a high seas madman named Golden Lion Shiki scatters the Straw Hat crew to different corners of a beast-infested floating island to get his hands on the crew's navigator Nami, Luffy must journey through the savage jungle, find his fellow crew mates, and engage Shiki in an all-or-nothing battle, where the winner gets Nami as their navigator.

6) Black Lagoon: Robertta's Blood Trail ($17 Blu-Ray/DVD Combo) - Following the end of the season season of the popular "Black Lagoon" series, assassin-turn-maid Roberta is out for revenge when her former employer is murdered. When her hunt ties to members of the government, it's up to Revy and the Lagoon Agency, along with Robertta's current employer to stop her vengeance from getting any bloodier. This OVA is filled with the iconic blood, heavy language, and extreme violence that made the series the icon it is today.

7) Sakura Wars the Movie ($23 Blu-Ray/DVD Combo) - In 1920s Japan, the Flower Division of the Imperial Assault Force protect the citizens from demon attacks with psychic-controlled mechs, but when members begin to disappear following the arrival of a new recruit, it's up to Sakura and the remaining members to find their friends and protect Japan against an arriving threat.

8) Dragon Ball Z: Season One - Vegeta Saga ($19 DVD Set) - The first season that started a revolution is now on DVD, digitally remastered and is a must for any fighting animé fan. Witness the arrival of the Saiyans, Goku's adventures along Snake Way and his training with King Kai, all leading up the legendary first battle with the Saiyan Prince, Vegeta. This is the perfect gift for the DBZ fan in all of us, or for someone that's never gotten to see this gem of the animé empire.

9) Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos ($14 DVD; $15 Blu-Ray/DVD Combo) - While pursuing a fugitive alchemist, the Elric Brothers find themselves in the valley of the Milos, a group of people living under oppression, and quickly find themselves in the middle of an uprising. They soon meet a young girl named Julia, who wants to use the Philosopher's Stone to return Milos to its' former glory, but will her nobel goal be worth the heavy price she will have to pay?

10) Good Luck Girl: The Complete Series - Limited Edition ($42 DVD; $55 Blu-Ray/DVD Combo) Ichiko has all the luck in the world, but what she doesn't know is that she is inadvertently stealing happiness energy from everyone around her to keep it. When Momiji, a poverty god, visits her to try to set the energy flow on an even playing field, Ichiko decides to take arms to fight the fates in what many will call a cat-and-mouse chase, loaded with anime and pop culture goodness.
