Super Bowl highlights

An estimated 108.4 million people watched the Super Bowl on Sunday Feb. 3, 2012 making it the third most watched television program in television history.

The Baltimore Ravens celebrated a 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers despite a 34 minute power outage which left players and fans confused and momentarily startled. The blackout has been the trending topic of much media buzz today.

Alicia Keys opened the show by singing the “Star Spangled Banner” while playing the piano and setting a new record.

Other highlights of the show included a heart wrenching rendition of “America the Beautiful” as performed by Jennifer Hudson along with 26 children from The Sandy Hook Elementary School Chorus.

Beyoncé’s powerful performance rocked the halftime show with a 13-minute set where she wowed the crowd as she sang and danced with and without her Destiny’s Child band mates, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.

Below is a list with a few of my favorite game day entertainment photos.
