The coasts along the southeastern states offer many great places to target redfish in the summer months. These red drum may be bull reds off the beaches or the smaller puppy drum found inshore. Either way they are ready to give you a battle.
Look for those bigger fish just offshore on sandbars or around wrecks and other structure. For the abundant smaller reds, finding a creek junction with a submerged shell bar and fishing on a moving tide is the ticket.
