Every great meal deserves great drinks, and vice versa. Having spent the past few years bouncing around Colorado a bit and rooting myself in the culinary mecca Denver is becoming recognized for, I consistently find myself being sucked back into the world of cocktails Denver has fully embraced. A world were the prohibition era cocktail recipe has been revitalized and bartending is once again becoming a craft profession. I too have begun to delve deeply into the frenzy of culture being developed within the efforts of some of the best bartenders, bars, restaurants and dives the Rockies has to offer. The culture has been developing for some time now and it is through the efforts of cocktail greats such as Dale Degroff, Jim Meehan, Audrey Saunders and Dushan Zaric (just to name a few) that we are once again experiencing the great renaissance of cocktail culture. (Check out the film 'Hey Bartender') From timeless classics to modern mixology the following few places are absolute gems to grab amazing drinks and fantastic food. So visit some of my favorites, sit at the bar, and chat up some of the best professionals I've seen thus far.

A few recommendations to start your journey. These offer great drinks, great food, and great experiences. In no particular order:
